The Artsy Side

Double majored in CS and Theatre because great solutions require reading people & the room, not just the requirements. From Indonesian folk music to self-directed comedy shows for farmers worried about AI, performing taught me to grasp what clients really need — even when they can't articulate it. Henry Ford's customers wanted a "faster horse" when they needed a car. When my mining client asked for "accuracy," my performer's intuition caught the deeper goal: don't lose a single valuable gemstone. My code delivered 2.5x their expected business impact.

I'm Taking My Stick-Shift Daily Driver To Track

She's a manual transmission '07 Mustang GT, which means I can do burnouts in my daily without worrying about things breaking down. I maintain her myself & track days are therapy: just me, 300+ horses, and the beautiful simplicity of physics doing its thing at 1G.

I'm Going On 4 hour Bicycle Rides Just Because The Weather Is Nice

Fractured my leg going feral during ping pong (apparently more dangerous than racing in my Mustang). Now I bike for hours just because it feels good; when Chicago's 12 annual nice days arrive, I vanish like a spandex-wearing cryptid.

How I Proved 3 Orthopedics Wrong + -

Three orthopedics prescribed surgery for my fractured knee. I politely nodded, then found a physical therapist who invented his own PT method. After 4 months of intense rehab, I went from struggling to cycle 1 mile to completing a 100 km ride (= 62 miles). No surgery, just stubborn determination & a PT provider who thought outside the book.
